Job description:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with this brilliant company to bring a great opportunity to the market.

This role has a clear progression path set, from assistant accountant to finance manager, to continue working your way up alongside your studies.

In this role as the assistant accountant you will be working closely with the finance manager and carrying out the main duties.

An individual studying AAT level 3 with be beneficial.

Salary:
£25,000 - £30,000


Main Duties:


  • Assisting with the Day to Day operations of the Finance Department
  • Managing and Posting Accruals and Prepayments
  • Preparation and posting of all Journals
  • Reconciliation of the monthly Profit and Loss account investigating key variances
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation
  • Monthly and Quarterly VAT Returns for GB, IE and NL
  • Producing and submitting Monthly NL Intrastat
  • Producing supporting documentation and monitoring of EU import and exports
  • Producing and distributing Sales Reports
  • Preparation of Stock Forecasting Reports
  • Ad Hoc Reports to support all areas of the Company whenever necessary

  • Highly organised
  • Excellent Accuracy levels and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • Flexible, ability to work to deadlines, particularly month end cut off.
  • Confident
  • Good telephone skills
  • Using own initiative, working independently and as part of a small team
  • Excellent IT Skills with knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to create Reports with data extract from business systems
  • Other Ad Hoc duties as required
