We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Group Head of Finance to play a pivotal role in Mediaworks, overseeing and further enhancing the agency's financial management and reporting whilst partnering with senior stakeholders and leading and developing a small, talented finance team.

The role


You'll be responsible for:

Managing financial operations, including oversight of payroll & pension, the effective operation of sales & purchase ledgers and cash flow management.

Management of the annual statutory audit and tax compliance process.

Developing and implementing appropriate financial strategies & recommendations, agreeing financial goals in collaboration with senior leaders.

Preparing accurate and timely group financial reports.

Conducting detailed financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities, presenting insightful reports to senior leaders and other key stakeholders.

Leading the annual budgeting process and ensuring regional & service line budgets are aligned with strategic objectives.

Creating and monitoring budget performance with actionable variance analysis, and financial forecasts that support long-term planning and resource allocation.

Monitoring and improving internal controls for effective risk mitigation, whilst identifying opportunities for streamlining financial operations.

The person


Ideally you'll have:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

A professional certification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA).

Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in financial management and leadership roles, preferably within the digital marketing industry or other service-based sector.

A strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.

Demonstrable ability to provide strategic financial insights and influence decision-making at senior levels.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with a track record of financial analysis and forecasting.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics and Business Central) and advanced MS Excel skills.

Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
