Description

About The Role:

Here are three things you should know from the start...

  • If you're not a teacher, we can train you on the job.
The role is a rewarding one, when you see the genuine difference you make in your students futures.

Canterbury College is a huge part of the community and which focuses on your development and career prospects.

Sounds good, doesn't it.

What we're looking for?

  • Experience in training, coaching or leading others in your industry.
  • Enthusiasm in inspiring learners 1619 years old.
  • The mindset to succeed.

What are some of our benefits?

  • Competitive salary and ability to scale up with internal progression opportunities across our 6 colleges.
  • Generous teacher pension scheme [Employer contributions of 23%].
  • Term time only position with competitive holiday entitlement of 42 days per annum. Access to a range of store, gym, retail and restaurant discounts.

What will you be doing?
You'll be teaching, inspiring, and helping students achieve.

Don't imagine standing in a large lecture hall, but engaging groups of students in bespoke purpose built rooms that can focus on training the right skills to future electricians.

About You:

Ideally you will have experience of teaching or have delivered training in the workplace although this isn't essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant.

You must have a positive outlook, be empathetic towards learners and have strong class management skills.

You could qualify for the 'Taking Teaching Further' scheme.

This could help you with paid study time and additional support in your new role, so you can complete your teaching qualification alongside your work.
