Some key information

  • 2 positions available 37 hours per week, based in Shepton Mallet.
  • This is a hybrid role, however, you will be required to work in the office at least weekly. Your working pattern will be agreed with your manager and this can be discussed at interview.
  • 30 days annual leave.
  • This service is constantly looking to grow our own Housing Professionals and is looking to a new programme of training and development opportunities in 2024/2025.

What will I be doing?
We're working to improve the lives of people in Somerset - and you'll be a key part of that.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

  • Assessing client's housing needs.
  • Making decisions in line with the Housing Act 199
  • Case Management.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be.

But it will really help if you:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Housing Law.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload.
  • Qualifications to A level standard or acquired knowledge to NVQ level 4.
