Duties Include:

ABP is one of Europe's leading privately owned food processors.

The group operates across many businesses, spanning Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe and consist of 4 separate divisions; ABP Beef, ABP Proteins, ABP Renewables and ABP Pet Foods.

ABP have recently acquired Janan Meat Ltd which is one of Europe's leading providers of British quality lamb and mutton who supply to customers across the UK, EU, Canada UAE, Middle East and beyond.

We are currently recruiting for a Nighy Hygiene Supervisor based at our Kingswinford site.


You will also be required to adhere to and uphold all health and safety guidelines and work in accordance with food hygiene regulations and Company policies and procedures.

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required.

Reporting to the Hygiene Manager you will:

  • Support the Night Hygiene manager in maintenance of effective hygiene controls throughout the site.
  • Support the Night Hygiene manager to effectively manage and complete all aspects relating cleaning and hygiene.
  • Maintain effective communications between the technical manager and night cleaning operatives
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment is cleaned in accordance with planned schedules.
  • Support the Night Hygiene manager in ensuring that all staff are fully trained in chemical use and in how to clean the areas that they are tasked to clean.
  • Organize shift patterns to ensure staff resourcing is sufficient to meet cleaning objectives.
  • Arrange holidays and holiday cover as well as absence management.
  • Vsually inspect all areas of the site post clean down to ensure cleanliness.
  • Ensure cleaning is carried out in accordance with operating procedures.
  • Carry out effective management and control of resources e.g. Chemicals and equipment.
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment is isolated and to report any faults in a timely manner.
  • Maintain CPD in combination with Hygiene Manager.

Personal Qualities

  • Cleaning operations requires a substantial amount of physical activity
  • Numeracy and literacy competency is required

Hours of work:


The position will be Monday to Friday working hours are 8 hours per shift, flexibility is required with working hours.

Start time 5:30 pm.
