The Commercial Coordinator is responsible for capturing, tracking, and recording the status of all commercial activities / requests.
Ensuring that responses are provided in a timely and accurate fashion and that any customers or suppliers interacting with the commercial team have an efficient and positive experience.
You must be confident with numbers and pricing and have excellent attention to detail.The role has a lot of customer and supplier facing interactions and you will need a positive and outgoing nature.
Excellent organisation skills are essential as well as a proactivity. Our Coordinator grade positions are for self-motivated individuals with a career focus and sense of responsibility.Main tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining regular contact with the delivery teams in the business as well as external suppliers to prepare pricing and quotations.
- Capturing emergent costs and ensuring that the customer is advised and where possible create revised pricing.
- Working to gather the best possible terms with all suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers. This will incorporate price as well as payment terms and quality.
- Highlight key supplier to the Commercial Director to ensure that appropriate commercial frameworks are in place.
- Creating pricing models, supporting in the creation of pricing for more complex projects
- Performance indicators will be created so you can report outputs to the commercial, financial and sales teams.
- Liaising with the Purchasing department to ensure the timely raising of purchase orders to match the contract terms and conditions
- Supporting contract negotiations
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs including English & Maths and 2 A Level's grade C passes or equivalent
- Project management
- Intermediate PRINCE 2 or equivalent is desirable
- Commercial contract negotiation is desirable but not essential
Required Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in an ISO9001:2015 accredited company would be desirable
- Experience using a procurement database
- Experience sourcing both nationally and internationally is essential.
