We are recruiting for an Experienced Administrator / Lead Secretary to join our Risk and Compliance team in Bristol.


You will be part of a successful team responsible for all Risk & Compliance across our 6 offices in the UK.

You will continue the enhancement and implementation of operational risk policies and risk management systems across the firm.


Your Role:

As an Experienced Administrator / Lead Secretary your day to day remit includes:

  • Using organisational skills in relations to MS office suite, particularly Excel, to manage internal operational processes, spreadsheets and documents.
  • Allocation of tasks to solicitors and risk team members, overseeing regular maintenance and updates of documentation, support in writing updates for changes to policies and procedures.
  • Acting as a central point of contact within TLT with regards to the record keeping, Risk Register and business continuity policies and plans.
  • Support in maintaining the firm's ISO accreditations, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including the accreditation body, diarising the audit cycle internally and externally, coordinating the training and testing program and monitor the feedback and outcomes;
  • Supporting on internal projects and proactive chasing of actions on project and task lists to ensure completion
  • Arrange and take minutes for the Business Continuity Forum of senior stakeholders and coordinate any actions arising from its discussions.

Your Skills and Experience:


  • Experience and competence using MS products, especially fluent excel skills
  • Experience working as a senior administrator, lead secretary, administration team leader or similar position within a law firm or a legal background.
  • Confident allocating work, organising multiple tasks, high attention detail for data entry and record keeping, experience in writing reports, meeting minutes and updates.
  • Able to work confidently with key stakeholders, ensure they meet high standards or record keeping required for audits and risk register.
  • Fluent MS Office skills, in particular with regards to Excel.
  • Selfreliant and a selfstarter, results oriented with excellent MS office knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
