We are currently seeking a professionally qualified, accredited Librarian (Grade 7) or at Grade 6 until professional accreditation is completed.

As a key member of the Library Learning Services Team, the Subject Librarian will lead on supporting the research and teaching/learning needs of staff and students for the Bath Business School and contribute to the management of Library & Learning Services.

(This is a Fixed Term Contract, covering maternity leave, 3 days per week, until the end of September 2024)


About the Role:


As a key member of the Library Learning Services Team, you will lead on supporting the research and teaching/learning needs of staff and students for the Bath Business School and contribute to the management of Library & Learning Services.

Within this role, you will be actively contributing to the coordination and delivery of a comprehensive digital and information literacy skills program.


Collaborating closely with colleagues across Library and Learning Services (LLS), you will play a key role in providing outstanding resources and services to our staff and students.

Your responsibilities will include active participation in operational planning, policy development, and objective setting aligned with the Library and Learning Services strategy.


About You:


You will be either a qualified chartered librarian with experience of working in an HE environment or a newly qualified librarian with a desire to gain professional experience and progress by undertaking continuing professional development.

You will have excellent communication skills with experience of building collaborative working relationships and be committed with a professional approach.

As a keen problem solver, you will be able to prioritise and work under pressure to strict deadlines. You will also be flexible and reliable, with a positive approach to change and development.


Additional Information:


(This is a Fixed Term Contract, covering maternity leave, 3 days per week, until the end of September 2024)

Grade 6/7 (£32,332 - £41,732 per annum)

If appointed at Grade 7 £22,259 - £25,039 per annum pro rata, if appointed at Grade 6 Career Pathway - £19,399 - £21,614 per annum pro rata

Onsite Working (with the option for some working from home)
