Live-in Housekeeper/Cook

Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility whilst the client is in residence and a one-hour lunch break


Start date:
Beginning of August

  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including but not limited to cleaning and tidying all living spaces, bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Dusting, polishing, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the residence.
  • Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are stocked and wellmaintained.
  • Handle delicate items and antiques with care.
  • Manage all laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organising clothes and linens.
  • Handle delicate and designer clothing with the utmost care, following specific instructions for each garment.
  • Maintain the wardrobe inventory, ensuring clothes are arranged neatly and ready for use.
  • Prepare basic meals for the Principals, which is highly infrequent.
  • Shop for groceries.
  • Coordinate with other household staff to ensure smooth operations.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a livein Housekeeper/essential Cook in a similar highend or private household.
  • Excellent knowledge of various cleaning techniques and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Familiarity with household appliances and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in managing household tasks.
  • Detailoriented with excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when the lady of the house is in residence.

Job Types:

Salary:
£42,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
