The Role:


My client, One of the UK's leading companies has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Test Leader to join their team.

You will be responsible for Co-ordinating software testing activities in line with the Information Technology InfrastructureLibrary (ITIL) framework, the software development lifecycle and industry best practice to deliver quality software solutions that fully meet the agreed requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate testing activities and report on, identify and/or recommend appropriate quality test gateways at each stage of the testing lifecycle to verify the quality of the testing solution being delivered.
  • Document, verify and participate in the handover of software into BusinessasUsual operation and assist or coordinate the transition of all functional changes in accordance with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
  • Plan and adapt the testing approach to make the most efficient use of available resources whilst maintaining a level of test coverage in line with the risk appetite of the business.
  • Understand and interpret IT testing requirements in collaboration with team members to ensure that the testing scope, hardware, software, environment and data are fully considered and put in place to allow testing activities to commence
  • Build and maintain relationships with Third Party service providers, IT colleagues and project/business stakeholders to facilitate the delivery of testing and business objectives

Key Skills and Experience required

  • Knowledge of various software development methodologies
  • Experience of working with IT 3rd party service providers, ideally within a multivendor environment.
  • Experience of establishing effective relationships with and influencing stakeholders.
  • Relevant working knowledge and a strong understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle.
  • An understanding of the Project Management framework and methodologies will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management.
  • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for problem solving and the ability to negotiate to a resolution.
  • An Information Technology related degree, or equivalent industry experience
  • International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB BCS) Certified Tester Advanced level
  • Test Analyst or equivalent
  • ISTQB Agile Tester Foundation Level Extension
