Vacancies have arisen for Route Managers across Operational Control Centres (Fulwell, Shepherds Bush, Harrow & Westbourne Park, and other locations as required) to achieve the company's QIC budget through effective management of the Operational Control Centres(OCCs) and their respective personnel and services.


The Route Manager will act as the direct line management for the iBus Controllers ensuring that support and guidance is given when required.

The Route Manager will manage closely the day-to-day operation of all services under their control, highlightingpoor performance and ensuring action plans are devised and shared with internal / external stakeholders.


Responsibilities:


  • To manage the daytoday operations of the Operational Control Centres
  • To act as a deputy for the Performance Manager in their absence
  • To collate and act upon information concerning service performance covering all Quality Service Indicators (QSI's)
  • To provide timely and accurate feedback to all internal and external stakeholders concerning service performance
  • To conduct technical and behavioural coaching / mentoring on a daytoday basis
  • To ensure standards set by the General Manager / Performance Manager are consistently maintained
  • To performance manage the Mobile Controllers / iBus Controllers in conjunction with the Performance Managers
  • To monitor, report and act upon ontheday punctuality / attendance of Mobile / iBus Controllers
  • To conduct grievance and disciplinary hearings in line with the company's grievance and disciplinary procedure

Requirements:

Essential (e); Desirable (d):


  • Previous experience of managing a large team (e)
  • Previous experience in managing a large portfolio of services (e)
  • Detailed route knowledge of RATP Dev transit London's network (d)
  • Knowledge of processes mapping (d)
  • A working knowledge of the iBus system (d)
  • Proficient in the Microsoft office package, especially Microsoft Excel (e)


  • Proficient in DAS

  • Preferably Grampian (e)
  • This role will be required to cover OCCs between the hours of 06:00 22:00, 7 days per week working shifts, 5 days out of 7, per week.
