Who are Depaul, & what do we do?


Depaul is a youth homelessness charity, we have been operating for more than 30 years working alongside young people facing homelessness.

We offer housing and accommodation, practical support and the wellbeing resources that the people we work with need to get back on their feet.

Can you provide a safe and homely environment for a young person?


Supported Lodgings is a service for young people aged 16-25 who need somewhere safe to live but would also benefit from a family environment.

The service is managed by Depaul UK in partnership with Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council.


The young people who access the service may be care leaver or those who have become homeless and can no longer live with their families.

Our providers open their homes to young people, providing them a safe environment that is warm and welcoming, a place to call home and an opportunity to learn and develop the skills that they will need for a more independent way of living in the future.

Are you the person we're looking for? Can you

  • Provide a safe, clean environment for a young person to live where they can be safe from harm?
  • Offer spare room for a young person to use exclusively as their own during their stay?
Provide basic emotional support through listening and talking with a young person

  • Provide basic practical support through helping a young person with household duties if required
  • Liaise effectively with Supported Lodgings project staff to provide holistic support to the young person

We hope to recruit people from wide variety of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and encourage families, couples or single people to apply.


You can currently be working full time, part time, accessing benefits or retired to be considered eligible to offer this fantastic service.
