Description
Perform daily TCV/Non TCV collections & deliveries nationwide & across the EU/surrounding areas.


YOUR ROLE
Handle all temperature/non-temperature-controlled consignments ensuring compliance with all agreed company policies to ensure maximum client satisfaction is achieved.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To follow country specific traffic/speeding regulations as per lawful requirement.

Raise any vehicle tracking/ vehicle daily checklist issues to the LHR Transport Management Team.

To perform any temperature monitoring requirements including van internal software data print outs and loading/unloading photography.

Ensure vehicles are always stocked with relevant equipment/tools to enable reliable performance of the van/internal equipment

To support with any TCV mapping requirements

Responsible for logging driving hours as per legal requirements set by the DVSA and other Department for Transport authorities

Perform both the recovery of consignments from inbound flights & tender of outbound consignments for export.

Ensure all consignments are collected / delivered in conjunction with, pick-up windows / delivery deadlines

Performing relevant checks of consignment paperwork are undertaken in conjunction with the packaging received from the LHR Warehouse.


Ensure consignment dispatch paperwork is presented to the LHR Warehouse Team, escalating discrepancies to the Transport Control Team before performing delivery/collection functions.


Liaising with the Transport Team via telephone to communicate milestone information (PUP / Tender / Recovery / OFD / POD).

Develop & maintain good working relationships with all Sterling Aviation & QuickSTAT clients.

Maintain personal standards of discipline regarding:
Start and Finish times
Uniform and Appearance
Vehicle Cleanliness
Vehicle Maintenance

Keep the LHR Transport Manager advised of potential & confirmed issues as they arise.


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Full Clean UK Drivers Licence

5 year checkable employment history

Specialist (Life Sciences / AOG) Courier Operations Experience.

Extensive knowledge of the UK Road networks

Experience of performing collections / deliveries throughout the UK.

Experience of working with Time Critical & Temperature Sensitive consignments.

Experience of adhering to strict deadlines.

Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
