Skills Coach - Sustainable Healthcare Academy

Salary:
£40 - 45k + excellent benefits


Full time, hybrid working


Working in collaboration with Greener NHS, the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare and others, LDN is proud to play its part in creating a sustainable healthcare system by introducing our Sustainable Healthcare Academy.

The Academy has been built and designed specifically to enhance the skills and capability of NHS professionals who play a direct and active role in the success of NHS Green Plans and other sustainability initiatives.


We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Skills Coach - Sustainable Healthcare Academy to join our friendly and supportive Delivery Team.

You will have the opportunity to genuinely change people's lives by shaping and delivering our uniquely designed Sustainable Healthcare Academy content.

The programme includes sustainability, diversity, inclusion and social impact learning via the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship.


Responsibilities include:


  • Supporting your apprentices through the learning journey and deliver an outstanding learner experience through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensuring your apprentices are on track to complete their apprenticeship.
  • Delivering regular coaching sessions and check ins for all apprentices and ensure that employers are up to date with apprentice progress.
  • Designing and facilitating engaging and relevant apprentice training through group sessions including live sessions and Masterclasses.
  • Being involved in coordinating the training activities delivered in partnership with our employers and industry experts.
  • Assessing your apprentices' work and provide timely and developmental feedback.
  • Managing your scheduled activities to ensure the timely achievement of learners.
  • Complying with any quality procedures to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Building strong and lasting relationships with each of the apprentices and employers you support.
  • Providing additional pastoral support for apprentices as required.
  • Facilitating a community for your NHS CR&S apprentices, allowing them to collaborate, network and share information & advice.

For this role you must:


  • Have worked within the NHS or a healthcare setting (
    essential).
  • Have a broad understanding of the Corporate Responsibility landscape and the broad range of initiatives that make up a modern Corporate Responsibility or Sustainability strategy.
  • Be passionate about helping people to enhance their careers within the NHS and this inspires you to deliver the best training possible.
  • Have knowledge of apprenticeships standards and End Point Assessments.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Have previous training or coaching experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates commitment to our values and expected behaviours.
