The team:


In the day to day you'll work alongside an experienced Building Surveyor, contributing to the delivery of sustainably driven projects, whilst given the autonomy to drive your own projects with the support of the wider team.


You'll also get the opportunity to be involved in our newest pioneer development in Leeds - West Village - which is a creative workspace focused on innovation and community at its heart.


Job purpose:


At Bruntwood we want to give you the maximum opportunity to learn and grow, managing your own projects from an early stage.

You'll be part of a wider team and have support from experts and innovators in the field, however, you'll also get the freedom to manage your own assets/projects.


What will you be doing:


  • Input into and contribute to companywide projects/initiatives where related to your area
  • Work with internal experts to ensure adherence to asset standards and sustainability objective
  • Work with the Regional Building Consultancy Lead or Senior Surveyor and contribute to wider pieces of work which align to the wider strategic objectives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to understand their business needs and priorities from a B&C perspective and provide support, expertise and advice.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects within your site or building(s) using your knowledge of internal and external best practice, including life cycle analysis and preparation of service charge major project plans
  • Responsible for the delivery projects from low to medium value and complexity, for assets and required Cat A & B fitouts, using innovative and progressive solutions.
  • A focus on projects relating to; fabric, M&E, SCMP, suite refurbs, fit outs and minor aesthetic schemes.
  • Collaborate with the internal QS team on budgets and costs, driving best possible value against a backdrop of in house benchmark data

  • You'll have some hands on experience as a Building Surveyor, whether that be through a placement year or commercial experience
  • You'll be commercially minded and innovate to input into operational performance and returns on investment.
  • You'll be passionate about sustainability, managing projects conscientiously
  • You'll communicate openly, transparently and effectively to ensure a high level of customer service
