We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and passionate HR Officer to join our school team.
Working closely with the School Business Manager, the role is to provide a comprehensive and effective HR Service within the school and will therefore ideally be suited to an individual with a proven track record in Human resources.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Overseeing the entire recruitment and selection process for all new staff and volunteers, from initial advertising through to employment contract and employment checks,
- All aspects of HR administration, including contract changes, staff attendance, starters, leavers, maternity, pension and ensuring the school MIS system is up to date.
- Monthly payroll collation and ensuring staff are paid accurately on a monthly basis through an external payroll provider
- Providing accurate and timely information on staffing costs and forecasts and assisting the School Business Manager in the audit and budgeting process
- Maintenance of the schools Single Central Record
- Have had previous experience within an HR role, ideally within a school setting, although not essential
- Be approachable, compassionate and understand the need for confidentiality at all times.
- Be an effective and flexible team player in a busy school office environment
- Demonstrate good attention to detail.
- Be an excellent communicator and planner with excellent organisational skills
- Have excellent customer service skills
