About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join various schools in Letchworth.
This role involves assisting teachers in the delivery of educational programs and providing support to students in their learning and school activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative tasks.
- Support individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete assignments.
- Observe and manage student behavior in the classroom and other school areas.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of materials and equipment for classes.
- Participate in and facilitate activities during school outings and special events.
- Help students develop social skills and behaviors necessary to succeed in a classroom setting.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role is preferred but not mandatory.
- A relevant educational support qualification, such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for helping students achieve their potential.
- A current Enhanced DBS check is required.
