Job Type:
Full time, permanent


Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 and Friday 07:30 to 12:50


Having recently moved into a brand new, environmentally conscious production facility in Bolton we are uniquely positioned to provide electric products and solutions using manufacturing processes which are sympathetic to our precious environment.

Main Purpose of the role:


  • To ensure the timely manufacture of products
  • To Support the Production Manager in achieving the required output
  • Training and development of Production Operatives and Apprentices

Key Accountabilities:


  • Supporting the Operations and Production Managers
  • Accurate recording of work activity
  • Accurate reporting of consumed materials

Main Responsibilities:


  • Efficient completion of production activities
  • Manual Assembly
  • Using hand tools
  • Operating task specific machinery
  • Adherence to the production schedule
  • Be the technical expert on specialist equipment and processes
  • Active involvement in scrap reduction activities
  • Accurate reporting of production activities via SFC
  • Achieve internal KPI's (P-Rate, OTIF, PPM, Scrap)
  • To assist in the maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment
  • Lead continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times
  • Report all issues to the Value Stream leader

About you:


Essential:

  • GCSE Maths/English Grade A-C
  • At least 2 years in an industrial focused production/assembly environment
  • Fully IT literate and an Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft office system, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and teams
  • Evidence of a wellpractised communication skills; both verbal, nonverbal and written
  • Excellent time management and ability to multitask
  • Highly accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail
  • Accountable for self and actions
  • A positive can do attitude
  • Calm and objective with a flexible approach to work

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Experience of being accountable for key projects
  • Proven ability of organizational skills and training and supporting others
