Job summary:


  • High Lodge Forest Centre is a popular recreational site that attracts 500,000 visitors per annum and provides extensive play, walking and cycle trail networks including an allability Heritage Trail, BBQ facilities, open space for public recreation and forest regeneration programmes. High Lodge is a regular event hosting site including Active Forest events and the Forest Live concert series which caters to in excess of 50,000 over 2 weekends.
  • We are looking for someone to provide excellent customer service, in a 'front of house' role, with a focus on marketing, volunteer management, High Lodge Memberships and site entry

Job description:


  • Carry out Duty Manager responsibilities, within a rota pattern, including weekends.
  • Coordination of High Lodge Information Point including; rotas, leaflet stocks, all retail sales, data management and administrative tasks, oversee all functions of the ANPR car park system and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Lead on High Lodge marketing both on site and externally, seeking innovative ways to engage a wide range of visitors.
  • Supervise volunteers, manage administration using Connections CRM system and look for new volunteering opportunities.
  • Actively sell High Lodge & National Memberships.
  • Support the work of the High Lodge team.
  • Support housekeeping staff when required.
  • Assist with the lead of the Visitor Services Team, individuals and volunteers on all Information Point related activities such as Memberships and site entry.
  • Regular and consistent contact with business partners and stakeholders.

Person specification:


  • Previous experience working in a customer facing role
  • Excellent marketing skills either gained through experience or academic accreditation
  • Ability to carry out administrative tasks
  • Effective time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of working successfully in partnership with stakeholders

The duties of this post require the applicant to have a full current driving licence that enables them to drive in the UK.
