Ranked within the top 10 universities in the world, this is an exciting and complex Higher Education Institute in London who are going through a period of significant change across academic faculties as week as professional services functions.


The Opportunity


Reporting to the Head of HR, you will work collaboratively with key stakeholders to add value and operationalise strategic people objectives and decisions, to work in partnership to develop people solutions, and support the management of risk.


You will work with the senior team, line managers, other Business Partners and local, embedded HR teams as well as the Organisational Development team on a number of initiatives.


Essential:

  • Experience of advising and handling a range of complex HR issues (e.g. disciplinaries, grievances, change management, TUPE)
  • Experience of developing and implementing people plans and/or HR solutions and is able to demonstrate the difference it made.
  • Experience of improving engagement and retention of people as well as evidence implementing successful EDI approaches/strategies.
  • Able to be tenacious and resilient in the face of challenge and disagreement whilst maintaining a professional demeanour.
  • Has sound judgement and has the confidence to make impactful decisions.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a HR Specialist role as well as generalist experience.
  • Experience of partnering with a professional services directorate/function
  • CIPD or equivalent qualified.
  • Worked in a HR generalist role in a complex organisation or a 'matrix' organisation.
