Description
We're looking for a
Site Agent to join our Natural Resources team for our Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent contracts.
Based from our Sheffield office but working from home and site, you can enjoy knowing that you not only help manage projects that are beneficial for our employees but for the community.
Location:
remote working available, with travel to sites required and office ad hoc. Sites are in Worksop, Rainworth, Pye Bridge and Whitwell.
Contract:
Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
As a
Site Agent, you'll be working within the Natural Resources team working on capital project schemes between £5m-£15m in value on both clean and dirty water treatment plants.
You will be responsible for the delivery of a project, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance.
Your day to day will include:
- Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of various multidisciplinary projects, ensuring implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP's and approval of supply chain RAMS
- Awareness and input of the commercial performance of the contract via liaison with the Project Manager
- Delivery of site inductions, issuing of permits/forms and daily briefings (including toolbox talks) and record keeping (e.g site diaries and quality records)
- Procurement and planning of equipment & materials for site establishment and throughout delivery of the scheme
- Undertaking weekly site audits, as well as documenting and issuing RFI's in collaboration with the project manager
What are we looking for?
This role of
Site Agent is great for you if you have:
- Considerable experience in the water industry (Civils background with a knowledge of MEICA), along with a degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting
- Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to general civil engineering
- Experience managing subcontractors value greater than £1m
- Knowledge of NEC forms of contract
