Job Purpose:
Responsible for the EHSS infrastructure at all JNJ office locations across the UK to facilitate compliance with requirements of the EHSS standards and local legislation.
Approx 10% of this role will be site level EHSS support at the office location at which they are based.
Approx 90% of the role involves standardizing the JNJ EHSS program across the all other sites with the support of EHSS contractors in the large locations.
Also vital to craft and implement a support structure for the smaller JNJ locations.Partnering with site leadership and governance teams to establish and implement site EHS strategy and Management Action Plan (MAP) in alignment with both the EHSS and business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategy for EHSS program standardization
- Handle site EHS contractors across the various JNJ large office locations and ensure best model to deliver on the JNJ Office EHSS Standards
- Support sites in developing and implementing their EHS objectives through auditing, analyzing, documenting, and reporting on their implementation and efficiency to management via dashboards & reports.
- Supervise and evaluate EHS program compliance across the JNJ offices
- Where required, provide upper management with ongoing consultation pertaining to environmental, health and safety regulations identifying the impacts of changes to regulations on key business objectives.
- Collaborate with other functions at a Campus level where and when required
- Drive the Sustainability Agenda across the sites through 'We Sustain' Ambassadors
- Shared responsibility with EHSS Governance teams for EHS performance at the sites
- Partnering with local management to develop and implement a site MAP to address EHS program deficiencies and ensure EHS regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in EHSS
Experience:
minimum 4 years of EHS experience with minimum of 2 years in an office environment
Knowledge:
Experience in office EHSS compliance and working in a high performing organization. Knowledge of Sustainability is welcomed.
Proficiencies:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), problemsolving, influence, planning, organizing, and time leadership skills. Outstanding teammate.
- Good interpersonal skills and classroom instructor skills are required.
- Business management produce & maintain project schedules & budgets
- Interfacing associates & local, state & federal inspectors.
- Organizational skills generate all required reports & record keeping systems
- Experience is required in identifying, evaluating and controlling EHS risks in the workplace.
- Ability to quickly interpret sophisticated regulatory issues and provide recommended course of action.
Digital Literacy:
- Proficient in MS Office software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Internet, intranet and database tools as needed to support the EHS function.
