We are working with a great, forward thinking and modern company to secure a proficient Data Architect in a new role.

This is a permanent, full time hybrid role with one or 2 office set days per week, based in West London.


  • Responsible for identifying and reducing the data debt of the organisation
  • Design and delivery of creating a consolidated and unified view of customer, inventory and transactional data information records
  • Creating, maintaining and delivering datacentricroadmaps for the organisation
  • Managing the conceptualisation and documentation of data models and schematics across systems, before presenting reporting back to stakeholders across the organisation
  • Maintaining a repository of all data architecture maps and artefacts across key systems
  • Data migration planning, design and governance


This is a new role that will lead to acting as the pivotal design authority for all things data within the organisation and enforce data architecture standards.

This post is the focal point for all things data, educating colleagues, peers and stakeholderson the importance of a data-centric structure and ensuring consistency across the business.


General responsibilities:

  • Create data models to enable the implementation of business architecture
  • Work with our Business Analysts, Product Managers and specialist Project Managers to scope out and gather requirements for new data and full system implementation and integrations
  • Work closely with Solutions Architects / Developers to deliver changes to data structures and processes
  • Define, document and oversee the implementation of data flows across the wider business
  • Support the Technology Team to deliver a fresh, organised eventsdriven architecture model utilising cutting edge solutions to turn our technology and data into a strategic advantage over national competitors
  • Continually improve the scalability, data recovery security and performance capabilities of all data repositories of the business

Desired:

  • Experience in modernising / implementation of data architecture and carrying out data migrations as part of a replatforming project
  • Involvement of delivering a 'ChangeManagement' programme
  • Experience of working with D365, SQL, Azure Integration Services as well as Amazon Web Services
  • You'll be well versed in working with Business Analysts and Project / Product Managers
  • Managing and developing a team of Data Engineers & Data Analysts, both freelancers and permanent staff
