What you'll be doing:


  • Supporting the site Emergency Arrangements, including: quality assurance, authoring, review, LFE, mentoring & exercising
  • Working with internal and external Stakeholders
  • Responsibility for callout arrangements and emergency response facilities
  • Committee and Working Group membership
  • Working closely with and supporting the Emergency Planning Manager
  • Undertaking reporting requirements
  • Undertaking prioritisation of daytoday workload management for less senior members of the team
  • Complying with all relevant Company performance, safety (SHE), security and IT processes

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • Good understanding of Emergency Planning legislation, concepts, protocols and procedures
  • Experience of authoring processes and procedures
  • Track record of managing projects from concept to delivery, whilst meeting deadlines

Desirable:


  • Experienced in team building and managing the workload of others, whilst meeting delivery dates
  • Knowledge of BAE Emergency Plans and Nuclear Emergency Response Organisation(NERO) roles

The Emergency Planner team:


As an emergency Planner you will be responsible to the Engineering Manager (Resilience & BCM) to ensure all plans and procedures (nuclear & non-nuclear) are robust and fully compliant with current business, statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for the maintenance and operational readiness of the company's Nuclear Emergency Response Organisation (NERO).
