    Job Description

    We are currently seeking a Controls Service Engineer based in the Midlands. The position can be home-based with travel to customer sites as required.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide on-call services, intervening quickly and efficiently in the event of malfunctions.
    • Offer remote 2nd- and 3rd-level support to ensure systems operate smoothly.
    • Independently manage smaller projects, leveraging comprehensive technical expertise.
    • Demonstrate specialist knowledge during retrofitting and modernization of existing systems.
    • Create detailed documentation and share knowledge with the team to support colleagues.
    • Travel up to 20% to assist on-site with customer issues or support project implementation as needed.
    • Maintain good relations with customers (internal and external)
    • Represent the company at internal and external meetings

    Requirements

    Essential Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.
    • Solid experience in PLC programming, especially with TIA, S7, or Beckhoff TwinCat2/3.
    • Comprehensive knowledge in fieldbus systems, HMI systems, and frequency converters.
    • Able to read electrical schematics and have practical experience in troubleshooting electrical and control technologies.
    • Application knowledge of industrial warehouse systems is a distinct advantage.
    • Able to travel to customer sites when required.
