We are looking for Area Sales Manager and have two positions available for South East and South West (inlcuding Wales).


Role Summary

Area Sales Manager for the safety valves manufactured in Germany by Leser GmbH & Co KG and Seetru Limited manufactured in the UK with responsibility for growing market share and developing relationships and business opportunities with new, existingand dormant customers in an agreed regional area that encompasses the midlands and south east.

Job Purpose andKey Responsibilities

  • Plan, prioritise and organize personal sales activities and customer / prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims especially managing personal time and productivity.
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio / territory / business according to an agreed market development strategy.
  • Contribute in the setting of future market development strategies.
  • Markets to address include cultivating potential within the EPC's and their original equipment suppliers as well as broad based general safety valve users.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers (and rebuild sales with old / lost customers) through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison.
  • Plan / carry out / support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  • Undertake any other projects or activities as and when requested to do so.
  • Undertake training and personal development in order to maximize effectiveness in post: develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
  • Undertake international travel, for instance, to Leser head office in Germany.

Skills & Experience Required:


- Ideally mechanical engineering background

- Currently in a technical sales engineering role with a sales track record

- Hands-on commercial experience gained in an engineering / technical sales role

- A clear and concise communicator, capable of identifying new objectives
**- A results-orientated, strategic thinker
