Do you have extensive experience of problem solving, working both as a team and individually, and taking pride in dispatching customers' orders in a timely manner?

Are you confident in liaising with suppliers, ensuring delivery dates and lead times are adhered to?


Then this could be the role for you.


Our Client is a long established (we're talking late 1800s) and very successful metal forming company based in Willenhall in the West Midlands.

Recent refurbishment has made this the most modern facility in the UK, offering extensive in-house services to their clients.

They are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their team.

This is a key role which requires a strong attention to detail, with liaison between team members, clients and suppliers being essential to the smooth operation of the company.


This requires someone who is highly organized, being able to cope with the responsibilities and associated pressures that the role brings.

Applicants should be commercially aware, have strong computer skills, with proven experience of problem solving and thinking on their feet.

An awareness or knowledge of Lean operations and 5C is required.


Applicants should be able to demonstrate knowledge of keeping high levels of customer delivery time satisfaction, along with the importance of maintaining stock level and stock recording.


Main aspects of the role and responsibilities include:

  • Arrange transport with appropriate transport supplier using relevant websites and generate delivery notes.
  • Put together customer certification packs as required and any required inspection certificates.
  • Ensure all product is inspected to the required level before despatch.
  • Update any online portal customer websites with delivery details as required.
  • Liaise with suppliers to plan delivery dates and lead times, raise and progress chase purchase orders as required.
  • Review supplier documentation as required to ensure details are correct any anomalies corrected.
  • Working with the Finishing Charge hand coordinate product through finishing areas and rework areas of the business to ensure despatches are made on time.
  • Ensuring all work in progress and finished stock is correctly labelled and is preserved in a manner that avoids deterioration or contamination.
  • Maintain customer stock so that it is correctly labelled and is preserved in a manner that avoids deterioration or contamination.
  • Ensuring all product is packed in a safe manner that is sufficient to protect the product and avoids deterioration of the product in the most costeffective way.


Reporting to the Production Manager, a salary of £25,000 to £27,500 per annum is offered, commensurate with experience, which is weekly paid.


  • Working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:00am to 3:00pm on Friday.
  • Weekday and weekend overtime may be required to ensure responsibilities and objectives are achieved, for which a premium rate will be paid.
  • Lunchtimes are halfhour per day, unpaid (timings may be flexible due to workload).
  • Holiday entitlement is 33 days per year (including Bank Holidays), to be taken during factory shutdown periods.
