Materials Planning and Customer Support Assistant

Grove Business Park (LE day a week on site/ 4 days a week from Home

Initial 6 month contract - likely to extend

37.5 hours a week:
Mon - Fri


Up to £14.00 an hour PAYE / umbrella rate available
Do you have materials planning experience within an engineering or manufacturing company? Would you like an exciting new challenge, within a fast-moving environment, working for a world-renowned Fortune 100 company?

We are looking for someone with materials planning experience to join our client's Supply Chain Team. This is an initial 6 month contract which is likely to extend for the right person as long as the business need is there If you have a materials planningbackground and are customer focused and enjoy working in a fast paced environment, this could be the opportunity you're looking for


What will the Materials Planning and Customer Support Assistant do?

  • Assist internal customers to make sure they have the parts they need, for the date they need them.
  • Check order requirements and collaborate with customers.
  • Coordinate materials and parts; with customers, colleagues, and other partners.
  • Expedite orders as required.
  • Handle customer queries with professionalism & diplomacy, to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What skills and experience does the Materials Planning and Customer Support Assistant need?

  • Previous materials planning experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment, with the ability to organise, prioritise and manage your time.
  • Customer Service experience would be beneficial, but can be trained if required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal customers.
  • Analytical problem solving and putting measures in place to stop issues from reoccurring.
  • Ability to react and assist customers quickly, this is a fastpaced environment.
  • Use of an MRP system and Excel.
  • Self-Motivated with a proactive approach and ability to work & thrive under pressure.
