Red Kite is recruiting on behalf of an Environmental Consultancy seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join a dynamic team as a BREEAM Assistant.

Work from Home / Hybrid role

Office location - Wellingborough - some travel required to London on occasion

37.5 hours

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with the BREEAM Consultant to integrate sustainability principles and achieve BREEAM certifications.
The company conduct BREEAM assessments, including site visits, data collection, and analysis, ensuring compliance with BREEAM criteria.
Collaborate closely with the senior management team and BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) to support the development and implementation of the environmental sustainability strategy.
Manage, collate, and review environmental and sustainability statistics, analysing trends and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, explore potential additional revenue streams aligned with sustainability goals.
Work alongside the current BREEAM AP on NABERS, assisting in the coordination and execution of sustainability initiatives.
Contribute to the development of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in collaboration with the senior team once the sustainability strategy is confirmed.
Familiarize yourself with and promote the "Construction Portal" owned by SCAPE, leveraging its benefits for improved project outcomes.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the benefits of PAS402, a standard for reporting waste management performance, and collaborate with the team to ensure supply chain compliance.
Learn and comprehend the processes involved in Prerefurbishment and Pre-Construction Environmental Audits. Provide support to the team by fulfilling any data requirements for these audits.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of sustainable building design principles ideally within the BREEAM certification process.
Proficiency in using BREEAM tools and software (e.g., BREEAM New Construction, BREEAM In-Use).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide practical recommendations.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Passion for sustainability and a genuine desire to contribute to a greener future.
