Red Kite is recruiting on behalf of an Environmental Consultancy seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join a dynamic team as a BREEAM Assistant.

Office location - Wellingborough - some travel required to London on occasion

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the BREEAM Consultant to integrate sustainability principles and achieve BREEAM certifications.
- The company conduct BREEAM assessments, including site visits, data collection, and analysis, ensuring compliance with BREEAM criteria.
- Collaborate closely with the senior management team and BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) to support the development and implementation of the environmental sustainability strategy.
- Manage, collate, and review environmental and sustainability statistics, analysing trends and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, explore potential additional revenue streams aligned with sustainability goals.
- Work alongside the current BREEAM AP on NABERS, assisting in the coordination and execution of sustainability initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in collaboration with the senior team once the sustainability strategy is confirmed.
- Familiarize yourself with and promote the "Construction Portal" owned by SCAPE, leveraging its benefits for improved project outcomes.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the benefits of PAS402, a standard for reporting waste management performance, and collaborate with the team to ensure supply chain compliance.
- Learn and comprehend the processes involved in Prerefurbishment and Pre-Construction Environmental Audits. Provide support to the team by fulfilling any data requirements for these audits.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of sustainable building design principles ideally within the BREEAM certification process.
- Proficiency in using BREEAM tools and software (e.g., BREEAM New Construction, BREEAM In-Use).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide practical recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Passion for sustainability and a genuine desire to contribute to a greener future.
