The Housing & Safer Communities Directorate is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Policy and Performance Officer with a specialism in Regulatory Compliance, to join our Strategy & Improvement Team.
This exciting opportunity revolves around a project aimed at ensuring our directorate is fully compliant with the emerging Consumer Standards.
Our Directorate manages and maintains 20,500 council homes across four key areas: Repairs & Investment, Housing, Community Safety & Environmental Health, and Digital Greenwich.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Conduct thorough compliance assessments of our emerging consumer standards enforced by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).
- Identify compliance gaps, preparing us for the new RSH inspection regime.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assist with implementing and monitoring necessary changes for regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement strategies and policies aligned with housing regulations and best practices.
- Support services in delivering efficient and consistent offerings through regulatory guidance.
- Produce comprehensive reports detailing compliance findings, recommendations, and progress updates.
- Indepth knowledge of housing regulation, particularly RSH's consumer standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear conveyance of complex regulatory concepts.
- Excellent report writing, numerical, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in similar regulatory compliance projects is highly desirable.
