We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team based on Scotter Ward, at John Coupland Hospital.
The therapy team provides care and rehabilitation for a variety of special areas including orthopaedics, neurology, frailty and falls, chronic disease management and other medical conditions.
The service provides high quality care and works to an enabling philosophy to facilitate patients to achieve their maximal level of independence thereby facilitating discharge and reducing length of stay in hospital.
Your role will include assisting patients to regain as much functional independence as possible through working on a patient rehabilitation goal approach.
The post holder will be able to use skills to carry out simple assessments, follow care plans and prescribe routine equipment within the scope of the job and to a level of assessed competence.
Part of this post involves working, without direct supervision at times but under the professional guidance of occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
