Alongside your Ward Clinical Commitments:

Project leadership contributing to further development of Healthcare Education Innovation and Research in Gloucestershire Participation and project leadership in the Enhance: Generalist Skills trailblazer programme, part of Health Education Englands Medical Education Reform Programme Lead service improvement projects with the foundation and core medical trainees to enhance patient care under the supervision of the Medical Director of the Trust and the Director of Safety.

Work with the Foundation Programme Directors and the Medical Tutors to deliver Foundation or Core Medical teaching programmes. Undertake bedside evening teaching sessions for trainees wishing to take PACES.

Help with organisation of the PACES examination held in Gloucestershire Work with our simulation team to develop and deliver training.


Act as a mentor to nurses who are training in our advanced nurse practitioner programme, particularly helping with competences in clinical examination.

Mentor trainee physician associates undertaking training in the Trust, rotating from University of Worcester or University of the West of England Design and deliver an educational programme for qualified Physician Associates in the Trust.

Develop web-based training or signposts to web training for the postgraduate centre website. Undertake research projects in postgraduate medical education under the direction of the Tutor in Postgraduate Medical Education Research
