Business Development Marketing Manager
**Based Amber Valley district, Derbyshire
- flexible Hybrid option up to 2 days a week.**
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 basic
28 days holiday including bank holidays increasing 1 day a year up to 33 days.

LWS Services have been retained by a leading manufacturer and supplier of waste compaction equipment.

Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Marketing professional to join their rapidly expanding team.


Role


This is a true Business Development role it is not direct sales, its identifying potential leads and Liaising with the sales team to ensure that appropriate product leads are identified, communicated and pursued.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop a plan to identify and target key waste management/recycling companies and communicate directly with these businesses to help create an ongoing demand, rather than simply responding to a specific opportunity.
  • Liaise with the sales team to ensure that appropriate product leads are identified, communicated and pursued.
  • Define market size and opportunities within the MRF (Materials Recycling Fcility) sector.
  • Define market size and opportunities outside of the MRF sector, including (but not limited to): the retail sector (including ecommerce), distribution centres, box plants and paper companies, refuse derived fuel (for incineration), waste to landfill, &the agricultural sector.
  • Propose appropriate market segmentation and devise business development strategies to effectively identify and target key accounts.
  • Track and document competitors' activity, including technical advancements, arguments, and commercial terms being offered.
  • Develop a marketing strategy to reestablish the company brand in the UK market.
  • Plan and manage sales and marketing resources according to agreed budgets.
  • Contribute to the formulation of wider Group marketing and business development strategies to maximize long term growth potential.
  • Maintain relevant reporting and planning systems, so that sales activities can be meaningfully monitored and reviewed.
  • Design, build and maintain the company's social media presence across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Experience working in higher value capital equipment markets as the product range starts from £100k (other industries outside of recycling machinery considered)
  • Proven track record with marketing and business development in a relevant sector, ideally involving technically sophisticated capital equipment is required.
  • Knowledge of, and experience within, the UK waste management/recycling industry is an advantage.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to present confidently and authoritatively to senior business leaders.
