Description

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Capstan Setter Operator for our client based in WV6 area.

**Working hours:
- ** 08:00am - 16:30pm, Monday

Friday

**Hourly Rate:
- ** £12.00ph

General Duties
To set up and operate capstan lathes from job card, works order and/or engineering drawing.

Set, maintain and use threading equipment such as Landmatic, Landis, Fette, Namco and Coventry die heads. (This includes chaser grinding).

Select correct types of tools and grades suitable to the material to be machined.

Measure and inspect the work produced in line with QA standards and instructions.

Ensure production is conducted in a timely manner to meet customer delivery.

Record production output and notify the production department of completed jobs.

Perform routine maintenance on machine tools as required.

Observe all safe working practices.

Make recommendations for improvement wherever possible.

In addition to the general duties of your job description, Any employee may be asked to work in a different department performing tasks outside of their standard job description providing that the employee has the necessary skills and training.
