Role

Job Summary


We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who can manage, develop, delegate work accordingly and support Project Managers on progress and advancements.


As part of the role as Fabrication Co-Ordinator will be to manage weekly production, forecast production, monitoring of queries, non-conformances and implement operational procedures.


The role will also require the management of raw materials, machine maintenance and the development of the fabrication facilities in Scarva with advice and guidance on design requirements and specification.

Responsible to |
Fabrication Manager

Key Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with the project management teams in weekly project meetings to discuss progress and programmes.
  • Management of raw materials and stock levels
  • Review all fabrication drawings prior to entering the production line for correct measurements and specification.
  • Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and developed.
  • Liaise regularly with line managers in relation to labour resources, training, machinery, and any nonconformances.
  • Supporting weekly progress reports and target advancements on individual projects.
  • Ensuring the project progresses in a timely manner and in accordance with project programs and specifications.
  • Manage and schedule workload accordingly in the fabrication facilities.
  • Set a personal example to all personnel on site.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:


Essential Criteria:


  • Previous experience working in steel fabrication.
  • Previous experience or familiarity with pipe/structural welding procedures.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to operate Microsoft Office & Excel.
  • Organise a structured approach to your work.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied portfolio of work.
  • Full Driving License.
  • Good attendance and timekeeping record.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Selfmotivated and enthusiastic with the ability to motivate colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity.

Desired Criteria:


  • An understanding of Electrical or Mechanical Schematics.
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within the M&E sector.
  • Previous experience in using DWG/Auto Cad software
