About the Role


Wellbeing and Public Health are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible team player to join our business support team working 4 days per week on a fixed term contract until September 2025.

The role provides administrative support across the Wellbeing and Public Health Service specifically Healthy Cornwall.

Wellbeing and Public Health undertake delivery and commissioning across a range of areas including Health Inequalities, Health Protection, Suicide Prevention, Mental Health and NHS Health Checks.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.


Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations).

About You


The successful applicant will undertake a range of business support tasks including processing referrals for Healthy Cornwall, administration of training and workshops, minute taking, word processing, use of excel spreadsheets and liaising with external partners in what will be an interesting and varied role with opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills.


You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise appropriately with all levels of professional staff, internal and external to the service.

A professional approach is essential, as is flexibility as well as having an eye for detail.


The role holder will also play an important part in our suicide prevention and mental health workstream so an interest in this area and the ability to deal with sensitive information would be advantageous.


The role holder will work from home for the majority of the time with a requirement to attend face to face meetings in council buildings as and when required.
