Service Coordinator, SOCOTEC, £23 - £27K - Environment & Safety, Cirencester.


To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Occupational Hygiene, Acoustics and Environmental team.

Our highly qualified specialists provide a market-leading service offering the assurance of compliance with legislation and regulations, including COSHH Regulations, Control of Noise at Work Regulations and Control of Vibration at Work Regulations and Environmental noise consultancy.


We are looking for a Service Coordinator to support our Safety and Environment Team that works across the southern region.

This role works out of our Cirencester office, managing the schedule for our field based consultants to meet our customer delivery KPI's

Tasks you will be required to undertake as part of your role include (but are not limited to):

  • Reviewing received quotations / job instructions to ensure compliance of content with procedural requirements.
  • Liaising with clients and consultants following contract award to determine efficient scheduling of staff and pooled equipment to complete site work and associated reporting to meet delivery KPI's
  • Managing the schedule and job progress / information tracker.
  • Proactively managing the schedule to account for changes in job circumstances and priorities.
  • Tracking revenue derived from site based and reporting activities.
  • Facilitating pooled equipment and analytical media distribution to field based consultants.
  • Acting as primary point of contact and liaison with team leaders on a range of complex scheduling, operational and administrative issues related to all types of projects.
  • Participating in shared office duties and general administration to support the field based consultants.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

Excellent written English skills.

Good computer literacy with proven proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office

Good personal time management and ability to prioritise tasks

Drive to work in a fast-paced environment.

Some previous experience of scheduling technical field based staff would be a distinct advantage
