Overview
We are looking for a degree-qualified (ideally chartered) infrastructure engineer to join our engineering team in Bedford.


You will have at least 5 years experience, specifically in the preparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to support Planning Applications for both residential and non-residentialdevelopment.

You will have a high level of technical expertise as well as excellent communication and management skills. You will be able to manage colleagues and deadlines with mínimal input. Work will include Due Diligence Site Appraisals/Feasibility Studies throughto preparation of Planning Application documentation.

You will be competent in the use of the following software programmes:

  • Junctions
  • LINSIG
  • Tempro
  • Ideally experienced in MicroDrainage
  • Experience of Flood Modelling software is preferable but not essential.

Job Purpose


We are looking for an Associate - Drainage/Flood Risk Engineer to support the organic growth of the company - strengthening skill base of existing infrastructure planning team to facilitate increased workload and future growth.


  • Working on residential and nonresidential projects around the UK, from small private developers to national house builders.
  • Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to support Planning Applications.
  • Liaison with clients and third party consultants/council officers, attending meetings where required.
  • Management of a team and assistance with development of more junior members of the team.
