We are seeking an experienced Project Worker to join our team at Stanley Grove.

Stanley Grove provides accommodation and support for 11 adults who have been homeless and sleeping rough in Manchester, including couples, people with limited mobility and wheelchair-users.

You will use your excellent communication and support skills, working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents.

We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression.

Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all.

Shift patterns:
Early am pm and 10.00am pm

The role of Project Worker will include:

  • Regularly assessing the needs of our clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training and employment
  • Supporting residents with daytoday living and maintaining their tenancies
  • Working alongside clients to enable move on to independent living
  • Encouraging social inclusion, and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience and selfesteem by participating in activities and pastimes
  • Assisting with the effective management of the scheme buildings, handling any maintenance and health and safety issues that arise
  • Working closely with mental health medical services and other statutory and nonstatutory agencies
  • Completing records and carrying out some nonsupport related routine tasks

Skills and experiences:


  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards is essential
  • A sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • The ability to work on your own initiative as you will be required to source innovative solutions to problems that allow residents independence to be enhanced
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, or similar
