Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

College location:
East Surrey College (Redhill) or John Ruskin (Selsdon)

Hourly pay rate:
£12.32/hour - Term Time Only (£10.42/hour + £1.59/hour as payment for annual leave) across 34 weeks each Academic year

Hours:
Part-time hours across 3-5 days per week and must be available between **8:45am

5:00pm**We are currently seeking to appoint a number of
Sessional Learning Support Assistants to assist and support our Curriculum staff in a number of different departments across the College.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will help the College to provide a quality learning environment with the ultimate aim of raising levels of attainment.

The role will involve working with learners with a variety of support needs, including those with emotional and behavioural needs, learning difficulties and those who have disengaged from mainstream education.

Have excellent communication skills
Be qualified to at least level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
Have competent IT Skills and the ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience of supporting students in a College or School environment
