The Background:


A leading services sector high volume £50m Leeds HQ business is looking for an experienced FP&A Assistant who will join a newly formed FP&A team and will report to the Finance Business Partner.

The department is continuously evolving to meet the needs of a fast paced and innovative business which has achieved significant growth in recent years.

This role will support the finance business partner and play a key role in supporting the senior management team in business decisions using meaningful analysis and financial insights.

The Role:

  • Preparing and analysing weekly & monthly profitability reports including tracking of KPI's by department and region.
  • Maintain and improve the evolving reporting pack distributed to operations.
  • Supporting in presenting information to and partnering with business leaders.
  • Assisting in preparing monthly Management Accounts where needed.
  • Assisting in preparation of Budget and Forecast.
  • Variance analysis on an ongoing basis including actuals vs forecast, actual vs last year, actual vs budget.
  • Ad-Hoc support including scenario analysis, trend analysis, modelling of pricing and schemes.
  • Assisting in various Ad-Hoc Finance and Business projects.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with commercial finance or FP&A activity.
  • Strong analytical skills including use of excel and manipulation of large datasets.
  • Clear, concise and professional with good written and verbal communication skills including ability to adapt communication depending on the audience.
  • Ability to work Methodically and Logically with good attention to detail.
  • Self-Motivated to complete tasks to a professional standard
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Enjoys a challenging and fast paced working environment.

Preferred but not compulsory:

  • Partqualified or qualified at ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Experience in an agency, human capital businesses or service organisations
  • Experience in a Highvolume business

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
£27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
