Responsibilities:
_ How will I spend my time?_
We are investing in growing our content design team size and expertise. You will review and produce content for one or more business areas in support of a publishing service.
Each piece of content ought to be a stand-alone product that meets a particular user need that the business area wants to satisfy with its offerings.
Using the appropriate patterns and formats, such as publications, forms, and other web content (static or dynamic), to plan, create, publish, and review the various content products within a specific business area or content journey.
- Digital operational guidance for public sector bodies
- Service access and rights information for the people and businesses of Scotland
- Digital shared service content for other public sector bodies

_esponsibilities will include: -_
- Being comfortable using evidence, data and research to make content decisions
- Building relationships across government to focus on the needs of the user and to influence stakeholders.
- Contributing to and use the style guides and content patterns.
- Engaging with and contributing to the Scottish Government content design community of practice.

After a productive first year, you will have brought about a much-needed change in
the pace of delivery for priority content areas supporting the public sector in Scotland to better handle digital projects and to meet the needs of the people and businesses of Scotland during the pressures faced by changes in the cost of living.

Essential Criteria & Qualifications:
- Your experience of working in an agile team and using agile tools allows you to use an iterative and flexible approach to rapidly deliver content.
- Your experience of working with content prototyping techniques, patterns and content management systems allows you to create prototypes that show value to others and publish content.
- Your experience of tailoring communication styles, to meet the needs of others, allows you to build and reach consensus with stakeholders.
- Your experience of creating and developing content design principles allows you to contribute to the creation and implementation of a content strategy.
- Your experience of working with user stories and creating content that can be measured as effectively meeting the needs of users allows you to propose suitable content design approaches.
- Your experience of making complex language, user journeys and processes easy to understand allows you to plan and design content that delivers the right information, in the right pattern and format, to meet the needs of the user
