***An exciting opportunity has arisen for part time HCSW to join the staff within the Pre Assessment Outpatient Department, Ninewells Hospital.

The post holder will be involved in many aspects of the Pre Assessment Outpatient Service. Applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Applicants must be committed to providing a high standard of care and demonstrate commitment to ensuring the highest standard of patient centred care is delivered.


The role will include carrying out phlebotomy, ECGs, vital signs, urinalysis and measuring height and weight and calculating the patient's BMI.

Throughout this role you will be asked to carry out Spirometry and various swabs. You would be responsible for stock control and cleanliness of the OPD. IT skills would be helpful and an understanding of Pecos and ICE would be beneficial.


Full training and support will be provided for all aspects of the role, offering you an opportunity to develop a wide range of knowledge and skills.
