Role of the Commercial Administrator

  • Ability to use the main components of Microsoft Office software and CRM system.
  • To develop proactive customer relationships with knowledge of all major customers' key contacts, with the ability to deal with them where appropriate.
  • To be proactive and develop customer collections.
  • To manage reports and ensure collections are in accordance with compliance regulations.
  • To be the first point of contact for daytoday issues.
  • To answer the incoming calls as required.
  • To carry out general sales office tasks including filing and record keeping.
  • To provide secondary cover for colleagues as directed by the Senior Commercial Administrator/Commercial Administration Manager.
  • Liaise between customers and other internal departments to answer and progress enquiries.
  • Maintain enough waste knowledge to be able to provide quotations and advice to customers.
  • Process customer collection orders.
  • Arrange invoices and payments when necessary.
  • Provide cover for tasks as stipulated by the Senior Commercial Administrator/Commercial Administration Manager during holiday or absence periods.
  • Carry out any other duties tasks as specified by the Senior Commercial Administrator/Commercial Administration Manager.

Specific Tasks

  • Manage personal outlook inbox, respond to enquiries, and take any relevant actions within a timely manner
  • Check the enquiries inbox, add collections to CRM system, respond to customer enquiries and any other issues relating to the enquiry's inbox accordingly.
  • Call sites proactively to book collections if required
  • Give training and support to any colleague in any department when required.
  • Ensure ALL tasks can be completed by others in the department for holiday and absence cover
  • Attend meetings on or off site if required

Requirements of Commercial Administrator

  • Excellent Customer skills
  • Ability to use CRM and Microsoft software
  • Have a knowledge of month end procedures
  • Good organisation and admin skills

Benefits of Commercial Administrator

  • Monday to Friday working week
  • 35 hours per week
  • Salary £20,500.00 per annum (£11.26 ph.)
