  • Senior Project Engineer
12 Month Contract

Hybrid

  • London/Waterloo
Occasional travel to Boston/Houston required


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM design for early development and concept engineering studies
  • Support new bid development
- develop electrical transmission concept designs
- review and refine grid connection points for early development projects#

  • Focus on US project development.
  • Responsible for the execution of the feed design of the electrical system.
  • Responsible for the design interfaces.
  • Develop the design basis of the electrical system.
  • Implementation Management:
  • Scope Management: Collect requirements, define scope, and define workbreakdownstructure
  • Provide mentoring & support to less experienced members of the team
  • Act as technical reviewer ans authority on electrical matters for new bids & early project development
  • Develop and manage overall electrical system time schedule, including key milestones. Detailed planning of activities and develop schedule.
  • Cost Management: Develop & Document CAPEX and OPEX budget for package.
  • Risk Management:
  • Procurement: Support preparation & evaluate of RFIs, tenders, etc., in cooperation with the Procurement Team.
  • HSSE: Ensure all work conducted with highest focus on HSSE especially with respect to designing out risk at the concept development stage
  • 10 +years of relevant work experience within offshore wind is a core requirement wind
  • Knowledge of cost control philosophy and methodologies, estimating, change management, and document controls procedures required.
  • Knowledge of the interconnection process and a desire to continue to learn as tariffs and RTOs change procedures.
  • Extensive experience with budgets/scheduling, risk evaluation is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple primes and subcontractor RFPs and relationships simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people from all types of fields of expertise.
  • Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication skills required.
  • Outstanding presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural context.
  • High energy, selfmotivated, client focused individual.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Creative and innovative.
