To contribute to providing a coordinated, efficient and effective clerical and administrative service for the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team.


The post holder will contribute to the development of administrative procedures and will undertake general day to day tasks including, answering the telephone, producing accurate and well-presented documents, including reports as well as entering information on the computerised patient information system.


The post holder will work as the first point of contact for the service, autonomously making decisions when dealing with service users, relatives and other callers.

To respond to simple and complex queries, provide accurate information, signpost or refer to a clinician, line manager or team manager as appropriate.


To be a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders for matters relating to the Children's Speech and Language therapy department, acting in a friendly and professional manner at all times.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Admin and Clerical Officer who will be predominantly based at our Head office in South Croydon.

You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills. A professional telephone manner is vital as the post holder will have daily direct contact with patients and stakeholders.


The post will involve working in a fast paced environment, which requires a calm but proactive approach with the ability to multi-task whilst being thorough.

This will include administering, liaising and acting in an efficient, effective and high quality manner.

Attention to detail is paramount in this post as is the ability to prioritise workload.
