OB PURPOSE


Acting as an internal and customer interface to bridge the gap between business, functional and technical, providing operational, engineering, product development and dissemination of value added and differentiation messages to customers.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work with the Operations Manager and Data Team Leader on customer or operational specific requirements
  • Provide admin support the Operations Manager and Data Team
  • Supplying customers with timely responses regarding support issues, development activity, product information and company information.
  • Ability to work leveraging resources from across the company including Services, Sales Engineering and Customer Support
  • To communicate to management clearly and in a timely manner on activities.

KEY INTERFACES

  • Assist Operations Manager in maintaining relationships with existing customers by maintaining a good communication channel
  • Accompanying Business Development Director when visiting potential customers to demonstrate products and gain new markets
  • Acting as contact between the company and its existing and potential markets
  • Gathering market and customer information and authoring reports
  • Staffing trade exhibitions and demonstrations
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:


Skills and Experience:


  • University honours degree in finance or computing related course
  • MS Access, Excel, Word + PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of relational databases and the ability to write moderate complexity SQL queries
  • Experience in authoring formal documentation specifically file specifications and reports
  • The position requires thorough working knowledge of data investigation, data flow analysis and an appreciation of IT processes
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly
  • Creative and resourceful thinker
  • Good interaction with staff and working with teams
  • Very good organisational and planning skills
  • Ideally, experience gained within a futures & options trading environment or support background would be extremely beneficial, although, not essential
  • A very high standard of focus, accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to communicate to peers and management clearly and in a timely manner on activities.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to support the Operations Manager, Euromoney TRADEDATA team and customer.
