£16.00-£19.00 PAYE per hour

£17.00-£20.00 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour

All of the rates are depending on skill and experience


Hybrid:
Initially 3 days on site and 2 at home with the same split either way moving forwards


Working Days and Hours:37.5 hours, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday


Job Purpose:


To support the transformation of our HR service and development of our HR Hub by providing specialist advice to managers on employee relations matters including under performance, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance cases.

To work within Trust policy,values, employment legislation and best practice, to ensure that appropriate solutions are applied to support the achievement of Trust objectives.

To create and deliver HR skills training programmes for line managers including facilitating and evaluating sessions. To support the HR Officers with more complex matters, where appropriate.


Duties

  • Advice and guidance to Managers on all aspects of attendance management in accordance with Trust policy and employment legislation
  • Support for line managers to conduct attendance reviews including final stage, as appropriate. Advice on referrals to and reports received from Occupational Health
  • Consideration and advice on redeployment, illhealth retirement or termination of employment whilst being mindful of employment legislation and Trust policy
  • Monitoring monthly attendance reports to highlight hotspot areas and provide tailored support in to managers in these areas
  • Sit on interview panels, where appropriate, to ensure a fair, thorough and transparent process is followed
  • Provide advice on the preparation of job descriptions and person specifications
  • Provide advice on appropriate, tailored selection and assessment techniques
  • Advise and support managers throughout the investigatory stage, supporting managers in investigatory interviews, as appropriate
  • Advise and support managers in the preparation of case information
  • Advise and support managers as part of a Disciplinary Panel within a formal meeting
  • Provide advice regarding the consultation process
  • Identification and consideration of organisation development interventions to support the change process
  • Attend formal consultation meetings with Trade Union representatives, where appropriate
  • Support and advise managers on the preparation of information, letters and documentation as required
  • Enquire with Payroll regarding protected earnings and financial implications of change, where required
  • Provide advice and support to line managers at the informal and formal stages of the process, supporting in formal meetings as appropriate
  • Support the HR Helpdesk alongside the team providing support to managers and directly to employees, prioritising prompt resolution and excellent customer service.
  • Provide support to the HR Officers and where necessary, escalate to the Workforce and OD Practitioner/Business Partner.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent level of ability gained through vocational experience
  • Knowledge of specialist HR topics to postgraduate diploma level acquired through degree and professional HR qualification or equivalent level of training experience
  • Operational HR experience, putting knowledge into practice
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment law
  • Application of employment law in day to day situations
  • Providing advice and implementation of disciplinary, grievance, absence and individual performance policies
  • Designing and delivering training and development workshops/programmes
  • Commitment to own personal development demonstrated through evidenced CPD
  • Excellent communication skills able to communicate sensitive and complex issues to managers and staff using developed persuasive, motivational, empathetic, and reassurance skills appropriate to the situation
  • Able to act with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to express information in a clear, concise and understandable way, both verbally and in writing
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyse difficult situations and information and provide solutions
  • Ability to identify prioritise and organise own workload effectively
  • Ability to support managers in Change management facilitation
  • European directives and best practice
