Join our Sulzer Services Alba Power Inspection team in Scotland and help us take our Gas turbine business to the next level.
This is a great opportunity to work in a fast moving, hands-on engineering team in a small but growing business within a large corporation.
Alba Power is the leading Independent Service Provider for overhauling Ex Rolls Royce aeroderivative gas turbines and at the forefront of the service growth strategy within Sulzer.
Your main tasks and responsiblities:
- Dimensional inspection of raw and machined components during different stages of manufacture
- Perform nondestructive testing methods (NDT) as per individual qualifications / training
- Sign off operations and tasks deemed acceptable during the inspection process
- Investigate and raise nonconformances identified during inspection process
- Provide instructions for reworks to be undertaken
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continual improvements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- HNC / equivalent in mechanical engineering
- Relevant experience within related industry
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Knowledge and experience using measuring equipment
- NDT Method experience / qualifications
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
- Excellent attention to detail

Location:
We are a well-established and progressive workshop based in Netherley, Aberdeenshire.
You will be joining a team of 70 experienced and knowledgeable engineers, inspecting, repairing, and overhauling a variety of gas turbine and power turbine models from our purpose-built facilities.
No visa or work permit support can be provided for this role.
