Management Accountant Role

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum.

Working in a constantly changing, dynamic, fast-paced and diverse environment, this is a key role within the organisation, responsible for supporting both the Operations Accountant and the Operations Team with their service based financial results and providingsupport in helping them to make sound business decisions in the long and short term.

The role is one of two and will offer operational colleagues a central shared service - this will be multi-service in nature.

The Management Accountant role will support operational contract managers in insuring variable income has been completed using the correct process workflows and the required profit margin has been achieved.

The role will work directly with operational contractmanagers to ensure processes are followed, understood and risks are highlighted regarding all financial aspects of the service (including working capital).

The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing and posting journals as part of the monthly preparation of services' accounts but final responsibility for the numbers reported will lie with both the Operations Accountant, the relevant Head of Serviceand Associate Director.

The Management Accountant will be line-managed by an Operations Accountant.

This role is therefore seen as a pathway to the Operations Accountant role, whose responsibility, technical workload and expected scope of influence is higher.

The role will suit a part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
